I have some fun and exiting news! For my Visual Media class, I’m making a magazie! This will mean that I’ve made two different magazines throughout my designing career so far. It’s weird to think, but I’m actually almost done with the magazine already.

The way we are designing this magazine is a little bit different from the first one that I made last year. A lot of the work that we are doing is pretty much laid out for us. We are also discussing different topics. For example, I am explaining how to design a logo and I also have a few pages in my magazine that talk about type. Currently, we have a “student choice” project we are working on to put in our magazines. I think what I am going to do for that is turn some of my photos into album covers! I’ll have to pick out interesting photos and add type to them to make an interesting cover for an album. It’ll be super fun!

This magazine is also a lot larger than my previous one. The final product will be somewhere around 60 pages. However, I think there will be less “content” per se in this one. A lot of the pages include imagery for different assignments I worked on in my Visual Media class. Nonetheless, I’m really exited to be putting out another magazine to add to my portfolio!
