BUSINESS CARDS

I got some business cards to promote myself!

As a part of making our self-promotional items, one of those items we needed to make was a business card so that people could get in contact with me and any of my social medias. I wanted to have my cards before the portfolio show so that I could hand them out there, so I ordered them pretty early.

I used Vistaprint to order my cards, and it was a really easy process. I first made my business card in InDesign to the way I wanted it. I checked with other students and my instructor for any last changes that might need to be made. Everyone said it looked pretty good, so I continued with the process. The next step was to export my file with bleeds so that Vistaprint had some space on the edges to work with.

Once my file looked correct in Vistaprint, I had a few more options to choose. I went with a premium, thicker paper to get a nice business card feel. My card featured a big line that had a bit of roughness to match my logo, so I picked a natural textured card to match those elements. I also chose to keep the square corners, because I liked the more formal feel of square corners. I picked out 250 cards and found a promo to get a lot off the total.

Then, I placed my order! I was expecting them to take a while to get here, but they got here four days before they were supposed to!

I am in love with they way that they turned out. I had a vision in my mind for how I wanted them to look, and they turned out just how I like. I can’t wait to start giving them out to people!
