I recently purchased some jewelry from one of my new favorite online stores: Hard Jewelry. If you’ve never heard of them, they sell grunge-type jewelry that is high quality and long lasting. I love them because they put tons of time into their products and they are always releasing new things.
Another thing that I love about them, and the topic of this blogpost, is how they package the things that you order. They put time and thought into their packaging to make the user’s experience better.
The mailer that they use as well as the sticker work really well together. The black of the mailer ties into their theme of being grunge. Even though they don’t use orange in their brand, they use it for a neon orange sticker on the mailer. This helps to make the packaging more interesting, and also helps it to stick out more from other pieces of mail with the vibrant orange on the black mailer.
Moving on to what’s inside the package. My jewelry that I ordered came in these little bags. They’re resealable too, so you can reuse them for keeping jewelry in if you’d like which is pretty cool. Each piece was also wrapped up in this tissue paper embedded with their logo. It shows that not only can they add interest to the little things like tissue paper, but they care about your order and that it gets to you safely.
Each package also comes with some extras. There’s always a little thank-you note in the package, a ring sizer, and tons of unique stickers and temporary tattoos. Even though these are little things, they really show that this company cares about your business and will include these things in your package to prove that to their customers.
Packaging should be important when receiving something. If it is boring and dull, it will blend in with your other mail. If you want something to stick out from everything else (whether it’s just a package, or an important design) make sure it stands out from other things!
