POSTER BOARD

As we near closer to the day of the Portfolio Show, I am starting to do some preparation for presenting all of the work I’ve done so far. The best way to do this in an efficient way is by putting my best work onto a poster board. I’ll go through the process so far of what I have done!

Last week, I stopped at my local Walmart (not a sponsored post) and picked up a poster board. The goal was to get one that was big enough to hold all of the work I wanted. I also wanted a poster board with the least amount of stuff on the back, as that would distract from the important stuff on the front.

Once I had safely brought that to school, it was time to start planning. I made a quick sketch of my poster board layout in my sketchbook. There were areas displaying my best work in categories. Once I was happy with my sketched-out layout, I showed it to my instructor to be improved, which he did.

The next step in my poster board process is printing out the work. In order to get my work to fit, I scaled most of it down so that I could fit more works on my board. These would get printed out on paper, trimmed using a cutter, then I would lay them out on my board.

It took a while but I finally got everything placed out on my board eventually. I am still working on it, but the next step will be to tape everything down. It will be a tedious process, but I at least have the part done of figuring out what to put on it. I’m ready to show it off on Thursday!
